Past Student - Present Sucess. July 2015

linda makamba

This is Linda Makamba who graduated from Eziko in 2013. Before her time at Eziko, Linda was unemployed and struggling. ”Eziko helped me realize my full potential,” she says.”I have always loved cooking, but Eziko broadened my mind about cooking and hygiene and inspired me to start my own business”.

At present, Linda works at Cape Milner Hotel in Cape town as an assistant chef which has helped her gain experience about the operations of the hospitality industry. Linda now plans to use this knowledge to open her own restaurant/catering & events company in Langa to cater for tourists and local communities.  “Eziko will help me put together a concept to present to the Langa Development Forum. They will also put me in contact with an organization that gives loans for business start-ups.” she says.

Linda visits the centre regularly to get new information and to keep up with Eziko’s developments - so you might have a chance to meet her there!
